Bonifacio High Street on Holy Thursday

Before heading to our Visita Iglesia, my wife and I waited  for friends to pick us up at Bonifacio High Street…was surprised to see most of the restaurants were open.

Another thing that caught our attention…they have Stations of the Cross in the middle of High Street…

Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday

Holy week is a season for sacrifices, reflections and traditions.

Here in our country, aside from the Holy Mass commemorating The Last Supper (with reenactments of the washing of the feet), people on Holy Thursdays participate in Visita Iglesia activities – praying the Stations of the Cross in fourteen different churches (for some – seven churches).

This Holy Thursday, together with my wife and friends, we traversed the cities of Makati, Pasay and Manila for our Visita Iglesia. The experience was tiring but there was no reason to complain, our sacrifice was a small one compared to what others embarked.

Our main purpose was to pray the Stations of the Cross, but I decided to take some sidesteps by bringing my camera along and having some photos/memorabilia of the event.
